Ryutaro Takahashi (Psychiatrist/Art Collector)
Born in Yamagata in 1946. After graduating in medicine from Toho University, joined the Department of Neuropsychiatry at Keio University. Was dispatched to Peru as a medical specialist by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), before returning to Japan to establish Takahashi Clinic in Kamata, Tokyo, in 1990. He is involved in Community Psychiatric Treatment mainly through day-care and home nursing as well as psychological consultation and the mental health care of businessmen. In 1997 he started a fully-fledged contemporary art collection by collecting the work of young Japanese artists. The Takahashi Ryutaro Collection currently holds more than 2000 and has been exhibited in 22 venues in Japan, and one overseas. In 2020 his incredible contributions to the promotion and popularization of contemporary art were recognized though the Commissioner for Cultural Affairs Award 2020.

Yuko Yamamoto (Director, Anomaly)
Completed the master’s degree in International Communication at Aoyama Gakuin University. In 2004 after having worked for Röntgen Kunstinstitut and Shiraishi Contemporary Art, she opened YAMAMOTO GENDAI in the wild industrial district of Kagurazaka, Tokyo, a spot formerly linked with the glorious literary legends. YAMAMOTO GENDAI relocated to Shirokane in 2008 and Higashi-Shinagawa in 2016. Later in 2018, she co-founded ANOMALY with URANO and Hashimoto Art Office to collectively embark for an unorthodox form of an art gallery. Currently, she works with various artists whose radical art practices from all directions broaden the horizon. She is actively engaged with extended projects including music, live performance, theater, talk event, and publication.
