Hilarie HON is known for her outlandish worlds with vivid tones. The canvas frame is an essential medium to showcase her painting, yet it separates the painted world from the exhibition space. Hon’s “figure with a hat” has not been given a specific identity. It is a part of the painting but at the same time is separated from the painted world. Naoya HIRATA makes the sculptures in the virtual space with using the ready-made 3D models or the images exist in the internet. HIRATA experiments another version of the world to search the interpretation of the contemporary sculptural history.
